Hi my lovelies and welcome back to my blog!
ColourPop cosmetics have made their mark on the internet, everyone and their mother is talking about this brand. I have seen hundreds of reviews for their products and I was desperate to get my hands on them.
Now, I bet you're wondering how I managed to receive these products when they don't ship to the UK. I came across a video from Chloe Morton (Glitteralittle) about how she used a shipping service called GoSend. This service provides you with a US address which you can order your products too and then when you're done shopping GoSend will send them to you! (lol I rhymed)
As soon as I finished watching the video I immediately hopped onto the ColourPop website and made a huge order.
I made the order on the 2nd of February this year and it arrived yesterday so it took a couple of weeks to arrive but I don't mind whatsoever as I knew it had to be sent to my US address first. Once GoSend received my products they then sent me confirmation and photos of my products.
The main thing I wanted to get my hands on were the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid lipsticks.
(Don't judge me for my poorly over lined lips)

Pros
The packaging of these lipsticks are beautiful and look similar to high end brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills.
-
The colours I have chosen I am in love with! they are perfect for autumn/winter and would look lovely on any skin tone.
-
The lipsticks themselves don't seem to have a strong smell or taste which is perfect for me.
-
When removing these lipsticks they look a lot of force with the make-up wipe to get rid of so I can see that they would live up to their long wearing capability.
-
The lipstick applicator is small which makes it easier to achieve a decent lip line
(perfect for lazy people like me who can't be bothered to use a lipliner)
-
The lipsticks don't appear to be sticky.
Cons
When removing the applicator from the tube I found that there was a considerable amount of product on the wand and the product started to drip off the applicator. I'm not sure if my product is broken or I have a dodgy batch but I will have to keep them standing up from now on so the product doesn't flow out of the tube.
-
I found that with the shade 'Limbo' the product seemed to pour out of the tube which I'm sure isn't meant to happen so maybe something is faulty with the inside design.
-
The lipstick dries very quickly which is great! However, because most of the product seems to be on the wand and not the applicator I find myself going back for more product which then makes the lipstick a little bit heavy to wear.
-
For some reason in my swatches the colours seem to appear patchy around the middle of my mouth. I'm sure I can resolve this by starting from the middle instead of trying to line my lips with the product.
-
Besides the excess product and the fault in the packaging I am really happy with the Liquid Lipsticks. The colours are beautifully pigmented and will look beautiful on any skin tone. Hopefully ColourPop will start shipping directly to the UK soon and I will definitely be purchasing many more shades from them soon.
I bought a lot more from ColourPop but this would be a really long blog post if I included everything so I will be doing separate posts for the other products that I bought!
Thank you for reading <3
