Hi my lovelies!
As I've already told you about my 'Top 5 Must Have Eyebrushes' I thought I would also share my top 5 face brushes.
Using the right brushes is sooo important when applying makeup as you wan't to look as flawless and natural as possible.
It was so difficult picking out only 5 brushes as I use so many but these brushes stand out to me as the must haves.
A Foundation Brush
I know is a bit of a weird brush to mention as it's not a secret that it's awful for actually applying foundation. However, I use this brush to apply primer/moisturiser. I have oily skin and I was once told that by applying a mattifying primer with my fingers defeats the point as I am transferring the oil thats in my finger tips into my skin so, from then on I have been using this brush when applying my primer. I can honestly say that by doing this my makeup seems to stay on longer and I don't become shiny as quickly as I used to be.
(I can't remember where I purchased this brush but you can literally buy these anywhere)
Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight Brush
This brush can be used for multiple things such as highlight/contour but I mainly use this brush to set my concealer or to lightly bake under the eyes. I find that baking with a sponge makes my under eyes seem really cakey and dry. Due to the synthetic/natural hairs of this brush it allows you to pick up a smaller amount of product which achieves a more natural looking highlight under the eyes instead of it looking cakey.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
(Technically this isn't a brush but who cares!) This sponge is a must have in everyones collection and out of all the sponges out there this is by far my fave! It is so affordable compared to it's other rivals and it's so squidgy! (probably the wrong way to describe it lol) What I mean by that is, some sponges when you feel them are really stiff and aren't easy to squeeze, these kind of sponges can be quite painful when you use it on your face. This sponge expands to a beautiful size and it is perfect for achieving a full or minimum coverage depending on the look you're going for.
Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush
Who doesn't love an angled brush right? This brush is perfect for adding a slight wash of colour to the face wether it be blush or bronzer. I mainly use this brush to apply and then blend out my contour with as I find that having a harsh contour stripe across your face just isn't a good look! The synthetic/natural hairs of the brush make it extremely easy to apply the right amount of product and help blend it out at the same time!.
Kryolan Professional Art. 1731 Fan Brush
2015 was definitely the year or the highlight with so many brands bringing out such beautiful highlights (Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop am I right?) I have chosen this brush because it's perfect for just dusting on the colour without it looking like a stripe. I know there're a lot of face brushes on the market but, this brush is super special because its so fluffy and thick. The is a lot of hairs packed into this brush which makes it really easy to blend out the highlight.
Those are my top 5 face brushes (and sponge lol)Thank you so much for reading! Please feel free to comment and follow me on any of my social media links!

That fan brush is just gorgeous!! I'm not gonna lie, I never really know what to use them for, I just use mine for sweeping off any excess product that happens to fall on my face lol.
