June Beauty Faves

Hello my lovelies
I can't believe that I haven't done a favourites post since February!
I really underestimated how hard writing favourites posts are, I don't know why I find it so difficult writing these posts as it's literally only a small paragraph about how much I love a product but I just want to make sure I don't miss out anything important.

If you would like a full review of any of these products then please leave a comment down below, it would be greatly appreciated.
Now, lets crack on to my June faves!

I don't think anybody understands how excited I was to see the NYX stand in my local Boots. If you follow me on snapchat you probably saw that I went a bit cray cray and spent a lot of money and in my opinion, it was money well spent! I picked up the NYX Pro Smudger Brush and the NYX Pro Crease Brush and I was so surprised to feel how unbelievably soft they are! The crease brush is literally identical to my Mac 224 brush and I prefer the price tag and the quality of the NYX brush.
I used them for the makeup look I did for my post on the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette and they apply and blend out the shadows beautifully. I would highly recommend the brush line from NYX for anyone just starting out with makeup or who want to find a cheaper alternative to some high end brushes out there.

If you read my last post then you will know the love that I have for this setting spray! They have a range of 5 different scented setting sprays and they are perfect for oily skin as they leave the skin with a matte finish whilst combating the oils your skin produce throughout the day! I use this spray before and after I apply my makeup and I'm being honest when I say that my makeup lasts the entire day.

If you wan't to find out more about the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray then please feel free to check out my last post

Ok, I'm just going to start off by saying that this lipstick cost me £2.30...
Now if thats not affordable then I don't know what is! I bought this in Wilkinsons about a year ago and I just continue to repurchase it as it's just a staple in my makeup bag. Its the perfect colour for any occasion, I've worn this on nights out with a smokey eye and I've also worn it to work where I normally go for a simple look of just eyebrows and foundation. The lipstick has a semi-matte finish and it has a creamy texture to it so its extremely comfortable on the lips. Essence do a wide range of lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushes and mascaras. The list is endless!
When it comes to mascaras I find it difficult to find one that actually makes any difference to my lashes as they're so short and stumpy, after watching many of Rachel Leary's youtube videos I had to pick up this beauty. I picked up the Mac Extended Play Mascara as I hear that it works wonders on the lower lashes, as my top lashes are practically bottom lashes anyway I though it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.
If you have short lashes I recommend that you go into Mac and try this because it's made a hell of a difference to my everyday look! My lashes now look longer, thicker and I now no longer have clumpy lashes because I'm not applying as much product any more.

I bought this foundation fairly late in the month as I saw my gal Taylor from Tmcmakeup rave about it and I know Taylor pretty well so I trust her opinion. She however has very dry skin, whereas I on the other hand have really oily skin. I've found that mattifying foundations from the drug store are way too drying and can sometimes go patchy but this foundation is a great dupe for the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint! It has a medium to full coverage, is very comfortable on the skin, lasts all day and doesn't look cakey, I've used it every day since I bought it and I will definitely be repurchasing this once I run out.

If you would like to see a full review of this foundation then please let me know in the comments!

Another product I picked up from NYX was one of their brow pencils. It looks identical to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz which I have never tried before. In fact, I've never even tried a brow pencil before! I always filled in my brows with an eyeshadow or a pomade type product like the Anastasia Dip Brow so trying out a brow pencil is very different for me. The product itself is very easy to use, I will hopefully be sharing my brow routine with you guys in the future so you will be able to see how I fill them in. This product makes it extremely easy to fill in your brows and you can easily create a bold or natural look with this product. If you're looking to try a new brow product that won't smudge and is easy to apply then I definitely recommend popping down to your local NYX counter

June has been a busy month for me and it's certainly been an expensive one! Hopefully I can control myself in the month of July and save some of my money...
