The Shadow Switch - Does it Really Work?

If there is one thing that all makeup lovers are guilty of it has to be keeping those pesky brushes clean. As a makeup student I have to have clean brushes, its just unsanitary if I don't so I'm constantly giving them a deep clean whenever I can. But, I can't exactly take my brushes to the sink when I'm halfway through creating a look just so I can reuse the brush to blend out some shadow...

I was contacted by Charlie from DEE&CO and they asked me if I would be interested in reviewing a DRY brush cleaner... Of course I said yes to this opportunity because if it actually works then it will definitely become a staple and must have product in my makeup kit. I've actually been following the brand Beauty Essentials for quite some time on twitter and the products that they've got coming up look absolutely amazing.

The Shadow Switch is a dry brush cleaner from the brand Beaty Essentials, the product allows you to switch from one shadow to another in a matter of seconds without getting it wet or having to switch brushes! It's really quick and simple to use as all you have to do is get a dirty brush and give it a swirl onto the textured sponge and thats it! (Obviously test it on the back of your hand before you use the brush on your face but I think you get the idea)

Dose it work? Yes! Is it worth purchasing? Yes! Do I really really need it? YES!

This product is a life saver, it's truly a game changer for any makeup artist out there and is perfect for those who don't have the dollar to buy an unlimited supply of eye brushes. For £5.99 it's extremely affordable for students to get their hands on if they're on a tight budget and would also make a great Christmas gift!

I must admit that when I first got hold of it I thought to myself that I wouldn't use it that much as I have more eye brushes than any normal person and I just thought that I would never run out of brushes.... Well, obviously I was wrong.

I love this product so much that I'm actually considering on purchasing another so I have one in my makeup kit and my kit for university. The Shadow Switch literally comes everywhere with me, it comes to work with me as I'm constantly doing my makeup at work and I always take it to uni with me because I'm obviously a makeup student and my brushes are in constant use!

The Shadow Switch can be easily removed from the tin and can be cleaned with some fragrance free soap and water, they do recommend to actually replace the Shadow Switch every couple of months due to wear and tear and obviously hygiene reasons, I've used this product so much in this past month and I haven't noticed any difference in the texture of the sponge but I'll let you know on twitter how I feel about it after I wash it.

Right, so this bad boy retails for £5.99 on Amazon but it's on its way to Sephora pretty soon! They're changing the packaging of this product to a more simpler design so if you're having trouble finding this product or you're interested in purchasing this amazing product then it will look exactly like the photo I've placed below! (Thank you Charlie for supplying me with this)

You can purchase the Shadow Switch here

There is honestly nothing bad I can say about this product as it does what it says on the tin, its affordable, and it's the perfect beauty tool for any makeup fanatic out there. Not gunna lie though... but can we just appreciate my photography here? I'm just getting used to my new camera so getting these kind of images was such an achievement for me, especially in this dark and gloomy weather.

I hope you've enjoyed my little review and sort-of demon on the Shadow Switch and I hope I've demonstrated it enough for you to understand what an amazing product this really is.

Have you tried the Shadow Switch? What are your thoughts?
