The Blogosphere Summer Party | 2017

I cannot believe it's been a whole year since I attended the Blogosphere Magazine first ever Summer party! So much has changed for me in the past year and it also sort of marks my little blogs first anniversary. The Blogosphere Summer Party was my first ever event I attended as a newbie blogger and if I'm right, I think it was the magazines first ever event too!

A year ago, I was absolutely cacking myself... Honestly, my anxiety was through the roof when I first walked through those doors at Lumiere London. I was new to blogging, I had never been to an event before and I normally end up insulting everyone when all I'm actually trying to do is be nice. But the atmosphere was so welcoming and there was no difference a year later, so if you're an anxious mess like me and you want to dip your toes in events then I would hop along to Blogosphere's next event. I went to this year's event with my gyal Katy (lexilife95) and I know she had nothing but nice words to say about the event so if you're more into watching vlogs or you want to know exactly what the event was like then, click here

The Blogosphere events are a great way for you as a blogger, to socialise/network with fellow bloggers and brands and to simply have an amazing time! Not to mention getting to know the girls behind the Magazine, Albertine, Elaine, Sophie and Alice are so bloody kind and welcoming. Alice wasn't actually there this time around as she was at SITC doing her thaaaang but if you ever get the chance to meet her or any of the girls then definitely give them a wave and a hello. Anyway... back to the actual event. It was hosted in the beautiful White Room at Lumiere London which is near Waterloo station and it's the perfect location for getting those insta pics you desperately need to fill up your feed. Katie and I were greeted by the lovely Albertine and right next to me happened to be two very full plates of macaroons, let's just say Sarah wasn't concentrating that well and the plate just magically disappeared.

Besides the food, to the left of me were Braun and So...? Fragrances, I met the lovely girls from So...? at the Blogosphere Christmas Market and I'm honestly the biggest fan of their fragrances. They revamped their branding a little while ago and it no longer has that 2K10 feel to it, the packaging is so sleek and adult friendly now and the scents... bloody Nora the scents are incredible. They have your sweet scents, the mature aromas and the weird and quirky scents that are not only bank account friendly but they're perfect for any type of occasion. I'm not one to experiment with my fragrances as I can't really tell the difference between most perfumes but I've really enjoyed mixing it up a bit over the last couple of months since I last saw them at Christmas.

Braun has always been on my radar but I don't think I've ever tried a product from them, so I was excited to get to know their products and the lovely girls who were there on the day! I met the lovely Anna from Braun who introduced me into the world of epilating and laser hair removal, I've never tried an epilator or had any laser hair removal done to me in the past so I was probably looking at her like a confused woman when she was explaining it all to me. I told Anna I was a bit scared to try the epilator as I'm a chicken with my pain threshold so she recommended that I try their 15 weeks Braun Silk-expert 3 IPL system.

Depending on your skin tone, the IPL system changes its light intensity so it doesn't damage your skin, Anna said that I needed to shave my legs and arms first and then give them a blast with the IPL system only once a week. Because I am so pale Anna also said that it might take me a bit longer than the 15 weeks of the hair removal to be permanent but either way, I'm eager to give it a go, please let me know if you would like a post on my experience using this little nifty machine. I also have some other Braun pieces coming so this won't be the last you hear of this brand on my blog!

On the right side of the room was a cute little pastel grey seating area where a cluster of bloggers was sat having a good old natter with each other. This was also the place where a few talks were taking place, Deborah from Bang on Style and Beth from Beth Eve was giving talks on how to up your photography game and marketing your blog! Simon from The Nomis Agency was also there talking about his work as a talent scout and what he does to help us all as influencers to progress in our careers. I'm actually gutted to say that I missed all of these talks... how stupid can I be? They were literally behind me and I didn't keep an eye on the time. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up with them soon so I can steal their advice but for now, I'll look at these pictures I've taken of the chats and just be sad that I missed them! Lol sigh...

The wonderful husband and wife duo from Sekforde Drinks (Tom & Talulah) were also there introducing us to the world of mixers. Drink mixers that is, I'm not the biggest drinker if I'm being completely honest so I'm not the best at describing the taste of these alcoholic beverages but from what I tasted I can tell you that they're tasty. They make botanical mixers for rum, gin and whiskey and they're low in sugar are 100% natural! I've never actually tried gin, rum or whiskey but my grandad was a whiskey drinker so it's like running through my blood right? I tried the gin mixer and it wasn't really my cup of tea but I had a sip of Katie's whiskey mixer (how many times can I say whiskey?) and I wish I had grabbed my own glass! Like I said, I'm not the best at describing tastes but it has a woody hint to it and it really reminded me of Christmas... yes I just mentioned Christmas.

I had my very own mixers to take home so I'm excited to give them all a go on my 21st birthday that's coming up very soon, or maybe I'll keep them for a giveaway? Let me know in the comments if you would be interested in a giveaway...

I was actually so sad to leave the event, I just didn't want it to end and I just wanted to stay and talk to other fellow bloggers but, all good things come to an end. A massive congratulation is in order to the gals at Blogosphere Magazine for executing such an informative, fun and insta worthy event for us all to socialise and learn more about our blogs. Make sure you follow them on twitter, insta and their website to keep up to date with future events and maybe I'll see you at the next one?
