I was recently tagged to do this post by Charlotte (Fading Tulips)
Tags are my most favourite videos to watch on Youtube and since I've started blogging I can finally be apart of them and write my own opinions or share my own experiences with you guys. I have to admit that these questions were pretty hard to answer, it feels like I've been wearing makeup since I came out of the womb. I would like to tag these lovely people to have a go at answering these questions.

This is an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot we did recently at uni. |
1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup?
I think I must of been around 10/11 years old. I remember having really bad skin from such a young age and I tried to cover it up with dream matte mouse which was completely the wrong colour for me and I looked like I'd fallen into some mud and I didn't wash it off properly.
2. How did you get into makeup?
I used to have those little makeup sets that you could get from Claire's accessories and I can remember just piling on the glittery lipgloss and the purple eyeshadow when I was around 6/7 years old and just loving life! Ever since then I've been obsessed with what makeup can do. I seriously got into makeup a couple of years back and took it upon myself to try and get a degree in it.
3. What are some of your favourite brands?
I'm a huge fan of the drugstore and I have gotten some great products from 'cheaper' brands that could seriously compete with high end products. Maybelline and L'Oreal so some great products such as foundations, mascaras and lip products! Makeup geek has some seriously pigmented eyeshadows which are a great price and Morphe brushes for their brushes (obviously)
4. What does makeup mean to you?
Makeup is literally my life. I seriously mean that, I am what you would call a beauty blogger and I also study makeup for TV and Film at uni so I hope to make 'makeup' a full time thing! I like the way it enhances someones features and can just change someones image!
5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face, what would they be?
L'Oreal true match foundation, Maybelline Lash Sensational, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow and NYX Contour kit.
6. What's your favourite thing about makeup?
I love the confidence that makeup gives you! It makes me feel 10x better about myself and I love it when people compliment me on how I look because of it.
7. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?
The majority of the makeup I have in my collection and even in my kit for uni is full of drugstore products! It's not that I don't like high end products,I have a few products that are holy grails in my collection. I just feel that some products are not worth the money and that some of the time you're genuinely just paying for the brand. I have a lot of dupes for the high end products that I own and I love them.
8. What is one tip of advice you can give a beginner?
You do not need the most expensive foundation or the entire collection of the Kylie lip kits. Makeup is expensive and some if it just isn't worth the hype! Even though I go to uni and study makeup I can honestly say its all about practice. You'll get the hang of it in the end.
9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?
I'm all for trying to make your lips look bigger and I do occasionally overline them just to make them appear fuller. However, I never understood the whole shot glass trick or the Kylie Jenner Lip challenge. It's so dangerous and I also think that the size some girls lips would get to wasn't even flattering! No one wants to look like a fish so please just stick to a trusty lip liner and lip plumping gloss.

10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube?
I've been watching YouTube videos for years! I watch them while I get ready for work, when I can't sleep, when I blog etc... It's what made me get into blogging and also studying makeup and prosthetics at uni. It's such a shame to see a large amount of youtubers these days who started out doing it because they had a passion for it to now looking miserable whilst promoting products they don't believe in! I love the girls I watch online but sometimes a small few ruin it for others.
I hope you got to know a little more about me and my makeup story! Any blog post requests please tweet me or leave me a comment down below!
