I went along with my blogger pal and close friend Tay from tmcmakeup to a cute little gallery in the South East of London, getting there proved to be more nerve racking than the event but that's a completely different blog post in itself... We were greeted by two lovely ladies who handed us a little ice breaker task sheet which actually made my life 100x easier as I'm useless when it comes to introducing myself. I'm pretty sure I made a slight tit of myself though because with the 29 degree heat and the nerves kicking in it was like my brain suddenly stopped working and for some reason I blurted out everything I was thinking all at once... I just keep thinking about that scene from Mean Girls where Lindsay Lohan throws up all over Aaron Samuels after word vomiting all of her feelings!
Food is a must have at any party to be honest, like is it really a party though without any nibbles? As soon as I walked into the event my eyes led me to the prettiest spread of instagrammable cakes (supplied by Pearl and Groove) I had ever seen, there was so many flavours to choose from but it was the Nutella cake that truly had my heart! The gluten free cakes were unbelievably tasty and totally guilt free, I probably should have picked up a few more but obviously I had to do the polite thing and think about everyone else y'know... Dotted around the room was boxes of Godiva chocolates as well and I'm not gunna lie I was pretty unsure if I was aloud to take one but it would have been rude of me to deny the offering!
Theres nothing better than a cup of tea to go alongside a bit of cake, The London Tea Company was one of the sponsors at the event and if I'm being honest, the classic english breakfast tea or builders tea just isn't my thing, it has to be milky AF which a ridiculous amount of sugar poured in (wrong I know). However, fruity teas are the way to go, they had a Peach and Rhubarb iced tea available to try and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was as I've never tried an iced tea before. They had so many flavours available at the event and I have a feeling they have many more becoming available at the end of the year so keep your eyes open if you're a tea junkie!
I was so pleased to see that Jewellery Box was another sponsor of the event and I must say that their display was simply beautiful! The had so many beautiful dainty pieces of jewellery on display and I had my eye on a few pieces... a honeycomb necklace to be precise! It was so bloody beautiful and it's my birthday at the end of the month so maybe I can put that on my list? On their website they literally cater to anybody, you can choose what type of metal you prefer, jewellery for christenings and birthdays, you can even have your jewellery personalised! If you're looking for unique pieces at an affordable price then I completely recommend Jewellery Box and their beautiful jewellery.
I also got to meet the editor of the magazine, Alice Audley. Now that I look back on the event I must admit that the conversations we had were so random, she was pretty impressed that I was on level 14 on PokemonGo if I remember rightly (LEVEL 15 NOW ALICE). She was so down to earth so if you ever have the chance to attend one of her events then I you should definitely have a chat with her! I also got to meet Vix who I've been following on twitter ever since I started blogging, her posts on relationships, sex and willys are the funniest thing I've ever read in my life and everything she posts is 100% the truth!
I had such an amazing time and I loved it so so much that I've already bought my ticket for the Blogosphere Christmas Market! I'll be attending the 3-5pm slot so if you're going then leave a comment or hit me up on twitter. If you're interested in attending a future Blogosphere Magazine event then you can sign up to their newsletter here
